So what is a Christian Science Reading Room? A Reading Room is designed to offer everyone a great place to further their spiritual study. It offers a quiet place to do some serious studying and research. Available for your use or purchase are several translations of the Holy Bible, Bible dictionaries, concordances and commentaries. Concord, a computer based concordance for the King James Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, and our hymnal is available for your use. Internet access provides an easy means to view church related websites such as The Mother Church’s main website and that of the Christian Science Monitor.
A Reading Room also has all the literature and publications by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, including her primary work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
There are several items designed for young people from preschool age on. These include story books about the Bible characters, CDs with children’s songs and stories, pamphlets on the Ten Commandments, and Beatitudes and much more.
The Reading Room is open
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Mondays and Saturdays
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Tuesdays
6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays.
